As I mentioned earlier, I often ask guests to write about their restaurant discoveries so, in my ‘Blue Book’ you will have a few pages of recommendations by your fellow travelers when you arrive, kind of like your on-site very own personalized TripAdvisor!  

Should prior to your arrival, you want a couple of suggestions to get you started, these ones seem to come up often, and consistently get good reviews in my ‘Blue Book’ (check their websites or Facebook pages to see when they are open and how to make reservations as for some, it is strongly recommended).

Translated by Vanessa from blue book - 'In the old port, on the pier at the water's edge is a blue & white boat.  Taste grilled sardines, shrimp & calamar, mussels in papillotes etc .  Queue up, place your order and then go sit facing the boats and towers.
 

Vanessa's comment - I too like the P'tit Blau Commentaire Vanessa - moi j'aime beaucoup ce P'tit Bleu for a casual grilled seafood meal or snack.  Only seafood here, grilled à la minute.  Delicious.  Only open from May until October.  Get ready to get your fingers dirty!

'A nice plus, they were open until late afternoon.  Fresh and healthy.  Tarts, tartines. Good service.  Think maybe a family business.  Nice courtyard/garden at the back that you don’t see from the street. 'Very nice lunch place at the beachside with good service.  They have typical ‘beach food’.  The moule frites are very good and we loved their café gourmand.  For a beach place, nice choice of wines & they have champagne which is good for me as I love champagne.  Very fresh and very tasty food. They are only 1 of the 2 restaurants facing the beach.  We chose this restaurant as the other restaurant facing the beach was empty'. (Nicole & Frank, sept 2020)

THIS is my favorite part of the day.  Without a doubt - 2 places with very contrasting ambiances, each one worth a visit.  Check their website before hand to be sure they are open as rather seasonal places.

An eclectic place to discover. Grafitti & street artists were the decorators pulling all forms of chairs, tables, bars together in one spot.  Anything and everything goes! Drinks, nibbles, music and a good time! Bonus for families, kids are also welcome (an enclosed play area to run, have fun and let loose)!

'It has a very nice ambiance.  Their menu is only cold (raw) very fresh seafood, except for the (huge) cooked lobster I had!  Franck had the fish soup which was delicious (but that is the only fish on the menu).
